Kristin Nichole over at Mashable notes an effort to combine wikis with MMOs. The Playxpert Wikia widget allows players to collaborate in wikis at the same time they are in game. Check out her post for some interesting screen shots.
My take: this may have strong educational potential in that an additional tool, a wiki, can be combined with commercial gaming content. The possibilities seem very interesting. A professor can assign students tasks in a MMO, and the students can team up on producing a document in a wiki at the same time they are engaged in the MMO.
